Veracruz is a restorative international experience designed for mothers up to two of their children.

This retreat centers wellness, presence, and reconnection — offering intentional time away from daily stressors to strengthen your bond, reset your nervous system, and rediscover joy together.

Set against the coastal beauty of Veracruz, families engage in gentle movement, reflection, guided dialogue, and nature-based practices that promote emotional regulation and calm.

Throughout the retreat, cultural learning is thoughtfully woven into the experience. Participants explore the rich history and enduring influence of Afro-Veracruz communities — discovering stories of resilience, creativity, and cultural contribution that inspire pride and broaden perspective.

Families return home grounded, connected, and expanded — carrying both restorative practices and a strengthened sense of identity.

Veracruz holds a powerful and often overlooked chapter of global history — including the enduring impact of African descendants who shaped the region’s music, food, language, and culture through extraordinary resilience.

Participants will:

• Learn about the history of Africans in Veracruz and their cultural contributions
• Explore themes of resilience, adaptation, and identity
• Engage in culturally respectful educational experiences
• Reflect on how legacy and heritage shape generational strength

This portion of the retreat fosters expanded perspective, pride, and global awareness.
